Blodwen’s Good Karma

She stood there on the pavement,
wanting something good to eat,
and beside her was her partner
who was looking rather neat.

She handed him a quid or two,
we just can’t wait 'till lunch

She said go on, surprise me

Go get something nice to munch

So off he went with cash in hand

Joyously thinking, what to get

Whatever it is that I shall buy

Won’t be good enough, I bet

So with just one thing for Blodwen

He paid the bill and walked out

Hoping that what he had bought her

Would not provoke a clout

He handed over the bag to her

Which she held and looked inside

A brilliant smile was on her face

As she looked at him with pride

I'm proud of you dear Bleddyn,
you’re actually quite a shopper,

As she pulled out just one banana

Which was really - quite a whopper

Now we must go she said to him

Before we’re missed from the camera

Tonight my dear I’ll shower you
