The end of Season

The sun has set once again on the bay.

For another season, it has to end,

The boats they start to disappear

To far away yards, for annual mends.

A chilly wind rides over the waves.

As Bledd and Blod start to shiver,

And all along the water’s edge,

The fading light, it shall glimmer.

As the darkened sky cometh over,

For those of us that shall remain,

No more daisies or four leaf clovers,

In winter nights, of cold and rain.

A vacant house stands on the Cei,

As if to guard the sea so azure,

In quiet reflection of summers past,

It will greet the next, that’s for sure.

And so it is, in the last few days,

Make the most of sun and light,

Summers gone, and autumns here,

Shortened days and longer nights.

Another round of people, who care,

Have filled the bay again this year,

The summers gone, all too soon,

For once again, October’s here.
